Obituary: Lunetta Rowena Abernathy
Lunetta Abernathy, born Dec. 27, 1920 in Hendley, NE, passed away March 1, 1995 in Tacoma. She worked in the retail industry as a seamstress for J.C. Penney's. Lunetta was active with the Girl Scouts, a member of the Lincoln Ward of the LDS Church. Over the years she was very active with the Relief Society and Primary and Sunday school. Survivors include: her husband, Charles Abernathy of 57 years; sons, James Abernathy and his wife, Darlene, Issaquah, David Abernathy and his wife, Betty, Renton, Robert Abernathy and his wife, Terrie, Tacoma, Leroy Abernathy, Key Center, William Abernathy and his wife, Dorothy, Tacoma; daughters, Charlotte Mickelsen, Las Vegas, NV, Annetta Osborn,Aurora, Colorado, Cara Stephens and her husband, Todd, Tacoma; brother, Alfred Goosman; 23 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. Services Mon., 10 a.m. at the Mt. View Valley Chapel. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home. 584-0252.
